When I’m not working in front of a screen or doing work around the house, I like to spend my free time outdoors going on adventures.
The Anker LC90 rechargeable Tactical Flashlight provides 900 Lumens via a CREE LED over a visible range of 660ft (200m). You can see in this picture that its definitely seen its share of objects.
The packaging is standard anker packaging and includes the LC90 Flashlight, a 3350mAh rechargeable battery, micro USB cable, lanyard strap, and instruction manual.
The 3350mAh rechargeable battery is rated for 6 hours of run time (at medium light setting) and takes roughly 6 hours to recharge via the built in charger port on the flashlight.
The physical housing of the flashlight is made of durable aluminum with shock resistant characteristics and touts a IP65 rating. This rating means the device is totally protected against dust and protected against water jests. In practice this means you can take your flashlight to the depths of the earth (except into the core where it will melt) and not have to worry about dirt, dust, or sand getting into the housing and no need to fret over a rainstorm.
The LC90 has 5 different light modes: High / Medium / Low / Strobe / SOS
High (Narrow Zoom / Wide Zoom):
Medium (Narrow Zoom / Wide Zoom):
Low(Narrow Zoom / Wide Zoom):
I was planning on showing the strobe and SOS actions but decided against it due to not wanting to cause any issues for anyone with the flashing light. For strobe, it flashes pretty quickly (maybe a few times a second). For the SOS action, the light flashes the letters “S” “O” “S” in Morris code.
I personally don’t see a point to the strobe function, but its there.
Charging the battery of the flashlight is rather easy with the built in charging port on the flashlight. Just unscrew the bottom cap and plug in a micro USB charging cable. When the LED next to the charging cable is red that means it is charging:
The LED changes to green when the battery is fully charged:

I read a review on the Anker LC90, complete with pictures, run time graphs, drop test, and submersion comments. The individual stated this flashlight dropped below 50 percent of full brightness (while on high power) in 2 minutes! He recommended a Streamlight ProTac HL instead, which leads me to this question: “What is your experience with the LC90 regarding run time vs brightness?” Thank you in advance.
I have never had that issue. I’ve been using the LC90 since 2017 and it has gone on many camping trips. I pretty much only use the highest brightness and did not notice any issues like that.
I did accidentally leave it on for 4 hours and the lens burned me…. but that’s users error 🙂
Fantastic article post.Really thank you! Will read on…

Hi there, just became aware of your blog through Google, and found that it is
truly informative.

You have touched some good points here. Any way keep up writing.
This is a topic that’s close to my heart… Cheers!
You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter
to be actually something that I think I would never understand.
It seems too complex and very broad for me. I’m looking forward for your next
post, I will try to get the hang of it!
