Gadget Bag

I’m often asked what it is exactly I carry inside my “gadget bag”, and so I decided to list out just what exactly it is I bring along with me wherever I go.

Before we dive into whats inside the bag however, its important to know what bag will be holding all of my techno goodies, and that is the SwissGear Blue Ibex 17″ Computer Backpack:The reason for a backpack verses the other options is really because of just how much stuff it can carry. While a back back is not the most professional way to lug all of your gadgets around it provides the most room and protection. The SwissGear IBEX Computer backpack features a case base that allows for the backpack to sit upright on its own when placed down: At first I thought I wouldn’t mind not having this feature when testing out other backpacks but it was one of the primary reasons for going back to it. The next biggest reason for the choice is durability. The last one I had of this model lasted me 8 years of everyday use being dragged between school, work, home, and on several business and personal trips. And finally the third reason for the choice is just the amount of space there is for storing stuff, this becomes even more handy for those who travel a lot on airplanes.

Next up are the bags inside my bag! What I mean by this is that I have a laptop sleeve as well as “computer accessories” bag (AKA Dongle Bag) for my MacBook Pro. This allows for me to easily leave my bag at my desk without having to bring it to all my meetings, which allows for a more professional persona when in meetings. The sleeve itself is the tomtoc Envelope Sleeve Carrying Case for the new MacBook Pro 15 inch laptop. As a wonderful add on it includes a accessory (dongle) bag:

The sleeve fits nicely in the bookbag’s computer slot if desirable but it also fits in the main compartment as well.

The accessory bag contains many different things:
Apple Pencil
87w USB-C Charger
USB-C Cable
USB-C to HDMI Adapter
Logitech M720 Bluetooth Mouse
USB-C console Adapter
Apple USB-C AV Video Adapter

Next up is a Apple iPad Pro in a Logitech Create Backlit Keyboard Case.   And finally a pair of Sennheiser HD1 Wireless Headphones.

Moving on is all of the items in the different smaller pockets items include:

Expo Dry Erase Markers
Gripmaster Hand Exerciser
Plantronics Voyager 5200-UC Bluetooth Headset
Anker PowerCore 13000
Verizon Jetpack MiFi

Along side all of the gadgets listed above there is always a book or two (feel free to check out my book collection)!
