In this video, we’ll be going over how to create virtual devices within SmartThings that use Edge drivers which allows for automations using them to run LOCALLY. Some of the virtual device types can even be shared with Google Home and Amazon Alexa which can then be used to drive routines within your voice assistant, including making them say whatever you want. If you want to make Google Home Speak or if you want to make Amazon Alexa speak, you need these virtual devices!
